Ultra-thin Cast Strip
ZC's Ultra-thin Cast Strip (UCS) is produced on a twin-roll casting line sourced from Nucor Corporation, USA — the first commercialised twin-roll casting production line in Asia. Twin-roll casting bypasses conventional hot-rolling reduction to produce strip at final gauge directly from molten steel, giving stable mechanical properties, good strip profile, precise gauge control, and surface quality that makes UCS a viable substitute for cold-rolled strip across many applications.
Annual capacity: 500,000 tonnes. Thickness range: 0.7–1.9 mm. Width range: 1,150–1,570 mm.
